Antica Darsena Restaurant is set inside the hotel, on the old dock of the villas. The dining room, with its refined furniture, offers a wonderful view of the lake. The cuisine comprises of local, Italian and international dishes, accompanied by a fine wine list and excellent service.

Garden Bar Ceccato is found in the gardens of the hotel, facing the lake. It is the ideal place for light dishes and snacks, including pizza and sandwiches. Taking a break outside, you can taste one of the finest ice creams in town.

Bistrò Restaurant of the Hotel Barchetta boasts a panoramic view of the lake and is the ideal place either for candlelit dinner or for business meetings.

- Visit the historical villas, including: Villa Olmo; Villa Carlotta; Villa Balbianello; Villa Melzi; Villa del Pizzo; and Villa d'Este.

- Hire a private boat or take a ferry along the lake where you can take in views of the most important villas. The lake is approximately 45 km long and 3 km wide.

- Visit typical villages, such as: Cernobbio; Bellaggio; Menaggio; Brunate; and Isola Comacina.

- Conduct or attend business events at the conference and exhibition centre of Villa Erba Cernobbio (3 km from the hotel).

- Spend a day shopping in Milan (only 45 minutes from Como).

- Take a tour in Switzerland: Lugano, Lucarno and the New Casino of Campione. The hotel is 3 km from the border.

By Car:
From Milan Linate Airport:
- Head towards Como-Chiasso on the A9 motorway.
- Exit at Como Sud.
- Follow the signs towards the town centre.
The distance is approximately 65 km and it takes 50 minutes to reach the hotel.

From Milan Malpensa Airport:
- Head towards Milan on the A8 motorway.
- When you reach Cantalupo, take the A9 motorway towards Como–Chiasso.
- Exit at Como Sud.
- Follow the signs towards the town centre.
The distance is approximately 60 km and it takes 40 minutes to get to the hotel.

From Lugano Agno Airport:
- Head towards Lugano.
- Once in Lugano, look for the A9 motorway Lugano-Milano.
- 200 metres after crossing the border, veer left towards Cernobbio/Lago.
- Follow signs to the town of Como.
The distance is approximately 35 km and it takes 30 minutes to get to the hotel.

From Orio al Serio Airport (Bergamo):
93 km by highway and 65 km with national roads.

By Train:
For travellers coming from Germany and Switzerland, Como is the first station after the Swiss border. Most trains running to Milan and to other Italian destinations stop at the Como San Giovanni station. For travellers coming from other directions, Milan Centrale is an important crossroads. Once at the Milano Centrale station, connect to Como through trains running to Switzerland and Germany. From the San Giovanni station, you can reach the hotel either by taxi (in 5 minutes) or on foot (in 10/15 minutes, if travelling with light luggage).

From the Milan Malpensa Airport:
Take the Malpensa Express (Ferrovie Nord Milano). Get off at the Saronno station and look for the connection to Como Nord Lago station. The hotel is only 5 minutes from the station (in the direction of Lung Lario Trieste).The total distance is approximately 60 km and it takes 60 minutes to get to the hotel.

From Milan Linate Airport:
Catch bus number 1 to Piazza San Babila. From there, look for the underground station (MM, Line 1, Red Line) and catch the train to Cadorna. Soon after leaving the underground you will find the Milano Nord Cadorna station, where trains to Como Nord Lago run approximately every 60 minutes (30 minutes during rush hours). The total distance is approximately 65 km and it takes 90 minutes to get to the hotel.

By Taxi:
Pick-up and transfer services can be arranged, upon request, to or from the airports of Milano Linate, Milan Malpensa and Lugano and also to or from the main train stations.
